Taking the “Post-Museum” concept raised up by Professor Li Degeng in the 1990s and the emergence of “General Museum” as the context, the book investigates two notable changes in museum exhibitions today. 1. Enhancement of narratives; 2. The integrated relationships between narratives and mundane issues. The key arguments of the book are on structures and forms which could accommodate the two changes. Divided into 8 chapters, the book reveals the changes of museums including forms, functions, themes, and contents in simple language, exploring the multiple possibilities of contemporary and future museums supported by professional theories.
